The Archway Guesthouse is a comfortable Victorian quality guest house, tastefully furnished throughout and is operated by Denis and Anita, a professional couple, who have lived and worked in several countries.
“Our goal is to continuously give all our guests a positive experience and a warm welcome while staying at The Archway”.
Their multi-lingual skills help in understanding their customers and their multi-cultural experiences add to making their guests feel at home.
Guests are welcome to use the dining table in the breakfast room. There are lots of maps, local tourist information, guide books and some board games available.
The house is entirely non-smoking and has been quality assessed by Cumbria Tourism, a Visit England local assessment scheme.
Our front rooms have distant mountain views of Coniston Old Man, Wetherlam, Crinkle Crags, Scafell Pike, Great Gable and the Langdale Pikes.
Location: We are located in a quiet street of Windermere village just 300 metres from the train station, shops, restaurants and pubs.
“All happiness depends on a leisurely breakfast” - John Gunther.
As breakfast is the most important meal of the day and something you look forward to whilst staying at The Archway,
we aim to offer you a varied menu including the Archway Full English and lots of other choices. Our muesli, granola and yoghurt are all home-made.
We also have specials on offer. We purchase all the main ingredients locally from quality producers.
We will be happy to accommodate special dietary needs with notice. Vegetarian and Gluten free options are always available. Breakfast is served between 8AM and 9.30 AM every day.
